ADA 2014 successfully finished
The International Summer School ADA 2014 Policies and Practices in Access to Digital Archives: Openness, Trustworthiness and Cost-efficiency was a success. The total of 33 participants and 10 lecturers were present the 5 day long summer school. ADA 2014 offered all of them a chance to listen to the lectures, work in the break-out sessions, discuss matters in work groups and report results to other participants. There was also an opportunity to discuss plans for the future, network and in the end have fun.

Rober Parnica’s topic
Robert Parnica, senior reference archivist from Open Society Archives at Central European University, Budapest will be speaking on the topic “The Role of Human Rights Archives in Post-conflict Societies and Transitional Justice – Problems and Limitations”.

Neil Grindley is a new lecturer
Distinguished lecturer Neil Grindley, Coordinator for the 4C Project and Programme Manager at JISC, will be running a session “The Costs of Curation – Are we on the right track?”.

We have the privilege to announce that Nermina Bogicevic, Senior Archives and Records Assistant at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), The Netherlands decided to join the list of distinguished lecturers of ADA 2014 international summer school.
Round table discussion
During the ADA 2014 summer school there will be a round table discussion. PhD students will have the opportunity to make short presentations (duration 10-15 minutes) of their research ideas. The presentations will be followed by a group discussion. If you want to present your PhD ideas please contact us and send the title of your presentation.
